Move Over Elf on the Shelf and Make Room for Glelf
I woke up one morning and checked Facebook (as I usually do), to find a treasure in my timeline. It took me a second to process what I was seeing, but once I did I began to giggle, and found myself laughing all day whenever I thought of it. My Facebook friend, and fellow high school alumni, had hand-made an elf costume and transformed himself from Glen Unger (successful owner of Higher Plane – A Design & Build Company) into Glelf, a real-live Elf on the Shelf!
The one picture was funny enough, but he has posted a new image almost daily, complete with a storyline. This is a particularly stressful holiday season for me, and Glelf has been the comic relief that I needed to remember to laugh, even when I thought I had no reason to. Laughter truly is powerful medicine! Glen, er ah, Glelf has graciously allowed me to share his gift with all of you. I’ll post any more pics to this post as he does. Thank you Glen!!! Be sure to follow Marvy Moms on Facebook so you won’t miss any more Glef pics!

Everyone must know who Elf on the Shelf is by now. If you don’t already have one for your kids, get one! I didn’t want one until my mom bought one for my son and now I love searching for him every morning and watching his expression when he finds him. Such a wonderful, innocent tradition. Of course, there are some crazy things people do with their Elf on the Shelf. Just search Pinterest for some crazy ideas.
I hope you enjoy Glel’s adventures as much as I have!
My personal favorite…

Make sure you share the joy of Glelf! Merry Christmas everyone! No go move your elf! If you don’t have one, get one and watch your kids’ delight in finding him every morning.
