Hello! Let me introduce myself, as this is my first post as a Marvy Mom – I’m happy to be a part of such a fun group! I’m Leandra, you can read my bio at the bottom of this page to get to know me a little better. Let’s spend a little time getting to know each other, shall we?
I spent the day post-Halloween in my pajamas. In fact, I think the first of November should be declared “Pajama Day” in the US. We were so exhausted from Halloween activities over the last few weeks that today, my kids & I remained in our pj’s ALL DAY & became enveloped with thinking about the things we love. It turns out they love reading books, watching movies and eating popcorn. Who knew?!
For starters, I love comfy pj’s! I love when my oldest asks to help “hatch eggs” for breakfast (instead of “crack eggs”). I love my family – near and far. I love my friends. I love warm, running water on a cold day. I love watching my husband laugh with our children. I love when he & I make eye contact in recognition over something they just did that was incredible, remarkable. I love free weekends. I love fresh sheets on my bed. I love seeing babies smile big, eye-hiding smiles. I love aromatic teas in autumn. I love the smell of wood burning in fireplaces and stoves in homes as I drive with my windows down in this season.
I love watching all our nieces and nephews play with our own children as if they’ve always been together, as if they were old souls. I love the feeling I get when I think really deep into my mind, remembering someone who is gone but not forgotten. I love seeing people happy & seeing happy people. I love when someone else “gets it”. I love when our middle child utters a paragraph, in his adorable two year-old speech, and I’m the only one to translate and understand. I love crunching, brushing leaves – the way they look and sound.
I love teaching a child something new to them and seeing their response. I love learning something new from a child and them watching my response. I love snuggling on the sofa to watch a movie with my love, even if it is a crappy movie. I love when our youngest baby giggles; oh, how I love to hear her laugh! I love life right now despite the constant challenges and up swings and down swings. I choose love. I love.
